My god...

I know some of you have dogs too, so you'll be able to relate to this posting.

As much as I love my dogs, god, it's hard to love them when they fart so much that it's hard to breath. LOL

I swear the whole upstairs of our house wreaks like I don't know what! I actually got up to see if one of them made a mess somewhere, but nothing!

I think the only way to sleep tonight is to open the windows because our little methane makers will have us dumb and drooling by morning from lack or oxygen.

Wow, what a week for my family and I.

It started off with my 85 yr old grandmother calling my mom last weekend and not knowing who she was or where she was. It turns out that she suffered a minor stroke; so to see what's up, the docs put her on a home heart monitor. The trouble is that her heart has been having so many blurps that the monitor has been filling up with reports and requiring up to 7 downloads a day! By weeks end, the monitor stopped working and I am not to sure if that means just a dead battery, if the weeks worth of recordings where accurate, etc.

Then, just before I was about to leave for class on Thursday, it turns out that my brother was hit by a Dodge 2500 while sitting on his motorcycle at a red light.

He was actually pretty lucky, as he came away from the accident with only a serverely bruised back, sore neck and elbow.

The truck hit him so hard that he was off the bike and picking himself off the ground and still had time to watch the truck push his bike into the MR2 in front of him and continue to push the MR2 into another vehicle.

His FZ1 (only a month old) was pushed into the Mr2 and launched 50' from where my brother was sitting idle before being hit.

After being taken to the hospital and X-rayed 100 different ways, he was released on the condition of a few days bed rest. He'll be going in for a follow-up next week and once the bruising goes away, physical therapy will be addressed.

I'm just glad he is doing well.

To top off the day, one of the nurses who watched my grandmother informed my mom that 3 weeks of pills have been taken by my grandmother in a span of about a week.
Luckily 95% of the pills where vitamins, but the rest were sleeping pills and that could've been disastrous! Strangely, we are paying these people to make sure this type of incident doesn't happen!

It's always something, right?

Catching up

Life's been pretty busy lately so blog entries have been pretty much null.

One thing that I have come to realize it that I sometime wish I could've found a garage and added heating, water, and electric to it instead of buying a house last year.

I truly miss being able to go out and tinker around on stuff in a garage. There, messes are expected and accepted, as well as in a house, you just can't leave things apart of laying around.

Some projects take time, so you have to leave them apart for days on end, or some projects like working on a car, simply can't been done in a house. Again, something need to remain apart for days on end, so that is something that can't be done on the street.

Anyway, that's my little rant about that.

I got to ride for the first time yesterday in about 8 or 9 days. It was pretty nice too. I was feeling it from about the first pedal stroke onward, but in the end I had a little energy left and I actually believe that I mounted a formal challenge to Jared on a few hill sections. Albeit for only about a 1/2 ml total, and I was completely wasted after that. LOL

It's nice to see a chink in someone's armor, even though you can't really challenge them on their level. It's that one little ray of hope for some future rides.

One thing is for sure, Jared knows how to keep me working by putting my as lead and staying on my wheel. It inherently makes me push myself and maybe if I continue, I'll not only be "quick" at times, but increase that to fast all the time.

Anyone checking out the exercise blogs sees what a failure that has been over the last 2 months! LOL With riding season in, I just can't bring myself to going to a gym, although I need it to work out. I haven't run in forever nor hit the weights, neither type of exercise which I get from cycling.
